"IT'S ONLY BEEN 2 YEARS, BUT I FEEL LIKE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSON THAN WHO I WAS THEN."
Alyssa isn't lying! In the last month alone she graduated with her nursing degree, celebrated 2 years of marriage to her best friend, and threw her son his first birthday party! Super woman!
I met her for the first time right before her wedding day, and got to hear about her dreams for college and her career after that. I cheered from a distance when they exchanged vows and met up for the best double dates with our husbands. Later when their son was born I was gifted with the title of honorary "Aunt" and have fallen in love with that little boy. Alyssa raised her newborn in the midst of term papers and finals, loved on him through daily classes and supported her husband through grueling schedules... all while being able to count the nights of uninterrupted sleep on one hand. (Oh did I mention she aced her classes?) I never saw her down or unhappy. She still found time to join in our excitement when I announced my pregnancy and would take time out of her limited school breaks to help me paint and complete the projects I felt like putting off. She is strong and determined, and not quite like anyone else I've ever met before. I appreciate her honesty and am so thankful for her persistence and kindness.
I'm so thrilled with these images. I hope you see HER. She's more than a pretty face, and she deserves to feel like a queen. She has accomplished so much in such a short time, and I just know that if she can handle the past 2 years, she's got the rest in the bag :)
Alyssa- Congratulations on graduating with flying colors and thank you for being a great example of courageous womanhood to every other young wife, teenage girl, new mother, and stranger you come in contact with!
I hope you see just how strong you are.
I hope you see yourself how the rest of the world sees you.
