I got to go meet Miss Emilia last week, and let me tell you... she is everything I dreamed she would be! It was a whirlwind couple of days, but we snuck in a few pictures of that newborn, new family of 3 glow :) Chel. You are an amazing mom. I knew you would be. Em is so incredibly lucky to have you. Just like I am! Can't wait for next time! Conrad misses his "baby". Love you Goldens! xoxo Kate Andddddddddd... is it even a successful newborn shoot if you don't capture a good ole spit up kiss reaction?

What a sweet little shoot! We ended as the sun began to set, and I couldn't be more thrilled with that golden light! Shiloh ran and played and I had the opportunity to capture her fire during this stage. I'm pretty positive you can feel her energy in these shots . I loved seeing how relaxed and natural Mike and Lucy were with her. Capturing memories without the stress of a studio, keeping outfits clean, and stiff posing. These are the things that make my job dreamy! Thank you Brado family for letting me take these photos of your little family! It was a pleasure for sure! Thanks for stopping in! I'm thankful you did!
xoxo, Kate Elsie Nadine Cowey. I had the privilege to go visit her when she was just 24 hours old. The privilege to document those early cries, and yawns and glances. This never gets old. A week later I dropped in and snagged a few images of her and her mommy before she grows and changes any more. All you parents out there know first hand, they never look the same when they wake up in a new day. Time is a meanie. Elsie, I'm so happy for you. Happy that you were gifted such a loving, doting mom. Ecstatic that you were gifted such a gentle and patient dad. Grateful that God gifted you to our family. We can't wait to watch you grow! I can't wait to see who you become! I love you Coweys. #onceaTumiaalwaysaTumia one week later...Send some love to the little family!
xoxo, Kate What a Valentines Day weekend! Dave and Stephanie met at college in Pensacola Florida. They became good friends, until one day Dave invited Stephanie golfing, and everything changed. There on the 4th green, while teaching her how to play her first game of "real" golf, Dave realized that Stephanie was the one. He knew this was the girl he would spend his life with. Fast forward years of long distance dating, and love growing and life, and we arrived at last weekend. Dave sent Stephanie on a girls day full of surprises and pampering. He even made sure to have her best friend fly in for the weekend! (He's a winner right?!) At the end of the day he was waiting for her on the bridge in the backyard of her home. The bridge that leads to the gold course behind her house. The bridge that leads to the 4th hole of the golf course directly behind her house. {I KNOW RIGHT?!} You can't make this stuff up! Nicholas Sparks has nothing on God written love stories! They walked together, laughing and chatting, up to the green. He knelt down, pulled the ring box he built himself, out of the 4th hole and opened the lid. The lid that he had carved her new initials on. If you know Stephanie, her reaction wouldn't be a surprise to you. If you know Stephanie I'm sure you can hear her reaction just by looking at the images. The most joyous giggles, and "ARE YOU SERIOUS!?"'s that have ever been uttered. He slipped the ring on her finger and walked her over to the bridge they had just crossed together, and showed her that very special question spelled out in tulips. One by one her family and friends came out from where they were hiding to congratulate them, and I don't think there was a happier place on the planet in that moment. I couldn't have chosen a better way to spend my Valentines Day weekend. Hiding from my front row seat in the pricker bushes watching God's love poured out. Best seat in the house. Dave and Stephanie, thank you for being a reminder of extravagant love. For waiting on God's timing and being proof of His incredible goodness. I truly believe our Father loves to give us good gifts. I know He gave you each other. xoxo, Kate Thank you for stopping in!
Feel free to give the happy couple some love in the comment section! Erik + Jess
They don't quite agree on the exact details of the first time they met, but all that matters is that they are together now. And its forever. These lovebirds braved the cold with me like champs. Erik carried Jess over the deep snow banks, made her giggle like a little girl, a couldn't stop pulling her in for long, neck breaking squeezes. I never get sick of seeing best friends in love. Best friends who can't stop holding hands, bicker over matching outifts, and keep each other warm in the icy weather. I hope you can see the sparks through your screen. I hope you can hear the true deep heart pounding laughter. These two are the bees knees, and I can't wait to see what's ahead for them! Jess, I love you and am so beyond thrilled that you found your "happily ever after"! Erik, Welcome to the family, and don't ever forget. We have A LOT of BIG STRONG uncles. Treat her like a princess. xoxo, Kate "It's better off to be a Fetterhoff" I had the blessing of traveling with Anna and Isaac on Encounter Revival Ministries, and have been able to see their little family blossom right from the beginning. I was then able to stand with them and capture the quiet moments and memories of their wedding day. And now, their little family with the addition of the beautiful Avonlea who turned 1 just days after our session. They are a refreshing example of a God centered relationship, faith based living, and others focused ministry. What stories these days are writing. I'm so happy I got to capture a few moments in this chapter for you, and can't wait until next time! If you'd like to hear more about Encounter and the ministry that Anna and Isaac are a part of, you can find more investment opportunities and information at encounterrevival.org Kate Leave some happy words!
XOXOXOXO, Kate These two.
I met them for the first time last year and they immediately felt like old friends. That's the kind of people they are. Warmth and Love. Date night was long overdue, so we grabbed dinner, chatted about life, they snuggled my baby, and then we trekked through the corn and down dirt roads. They danced in the weeds, followed the sun as it descended and just soaked in the beauty of summer. They are winners. They are the kind of people that make life better. These are the kind of people you need more of in your life. They are the kind of people that help you see your blessings in clarity. And their love? Oh its lovely. Genuine. The way he held her hand and picked her wild flowers. The way she can''t help but smile when he glances her way. The way he serves her and leads her. Their adoration for each other is refreshing. Luke and Tori- thanks for taking time out of your hectic schedules to hang out with a couple of tired parents, and bringing some wonderful sunshine to our weekend! Until next time :) Kate Grace. This shoot started off as your typical senior session. Beautiful night, gorgeous location, and a model of a subject! Score! I would've been totally pumped about the shots we got if it had ended after the first 2 outfit changes. BUT THEN, she came out in her tutu, ballet slippers, and holding a bouquet of pink balloons. I just knew this was going to be one for the books. My only complaint? I wish the sun never had to set so she could keep dancing in that golden light forever. This session was one for my bucket list! Grace- thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to document this exciting stage in your life! Senior year is starting, and your future is wide open ahead. A well written book with it's next chapter waiting to be written. I hope these images serve as a reminder of the person you were and the place you were at when you look back at the beginning of the story God has penned for you! Thank you a million times over. Kate Isn't she lovely?
Leave a little comment below and remind her :) xoxoxox Kate Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Richmond.
Elijah and Lucy's June wedding was small and intimate, set in the church Elijah grew up in and surrounded by loving and supportive friends and family. So much anticipation and laughter! Everyone pitching in to make their special day personal and relaxed for the bride and groom. When rain started to fall following the ceremony, no one skipped a beat! There was no amount of wind or downpour that could drown out the excitement and pure joy that was present that afternoon! The kind of love that is content in just being together, no matter the outside circumstance. Elijah and Lucy- I'm so excited to get you the rest of your images! Your love is contagious, and I can't wait to see what awaits you next! Here's to 100 years of bliss! What a great evening I had with this amazing couple! These two are getting married in just a few weeks, and I was so excited when they decided to take some last minute engagement portraits before the big day! I love seeing couples interact and enjoy each other in a way that they aren't able to in just every day life. To see the love and friendship they share when they're alone, just holding each other. The best is when these shoots turn into more than just a stiff posed session, and more into a relaxed date night. That's how Friday went. A date night! Randall makes her laugh and she holds his steadfast gaze. They gel together and know each other like the backs of their hands. Hands that didn't let go of each other I might add. They are companions, and each others teammates. Best friends. I can't wait to see how those roles play into their marriage! I hop you can see it in these images. Their love. Randy & Sara- It was an absolute pleasure working with you, and I am so excited to spend your "best day ever:"!
